Meet the Team

Richard Marks MRCVS [OV]

Richard Marks graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1999. He worked in small animal practice in Essex after qualifying and actually grew up in the area and attended Coopers School in Upminster. Richard joined the Gidea Park surgery in 2005. He is interested in all aspects of companion animal surgery and medicine and also offers acupuncture to clients who want to pursue complementary treatments alongside traditional medicine to help control chronic pain in pets.

Richard spends most of his spare time with his two sons, Orlan and Christian and his daughter Olivia who help him to look after his two cats, Panther and Leopard and two guinea pigs, Oak and Obsiddian. His main interests are wildlife spotting, hiking and spending time outdoors.

 

Dawn Thresher - Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse

Dawn started her nursing career in 1988 and qualified in 1992. Dawn joined the Goddard Group as a locum in 2013 after a short career break following the arrival of her two youngest children and joined the team at Gidea Park as Senior nurse in May 2013. In her spare time Dawn is busy looking after her four children and menagerie of animals.

Janice Godfrey - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Janice qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1986 whilst working at the PDSA charity.  She later joined the Goddard Group, first working at the hospital in Wanstead before moving on to the Hackney surgery for many years and she has now joined the team at Gidea Park.  Our clients are well aware of Janice's wonderfully kind and caring approach to her work and her lovely sense of humour, which makes her a hugely valued asset to Goddards.  In her spare time Janice is a devoted pet owner.

 

Rebecca Dangerfield - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Rebecca joined the Goddard Group in 2015 and completed her nursing degree becoming a fully qualified RVN in June 2016.  Rebecca has a keen interest in canine behaviour and has a variety of pets at home including a border collie called Willow and two parrots.

  

Danielle Lagden - Animal Nursing Assistant


Danielle joined Goddard Veterinary Group in 2004 and transferred to the Gidea Park branch in 2015.  She is a qualified Animal Nursing Assistant [ANA] and a keen dog lover.  Danielle has taken in a stray Staffordshire bull terrier who is now a much loved family pet called Bailey.

Amy Jones - Animal Nursing Assistant


Amy joined the Goddard Vet Group in 2007 and is a proud Mum to her little boy who she had in 2009. Amy is now back working for us part time and has since qualified as an Animal Nursing Assistant [ANA]. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding.

 

Michelle Putt - Branch Administrator

Michelle joined the Goddard Group in 2015 and helps to process clients' insurance claims and deals with account queries both here at the Gidea Park branch as well as our surgery in Loughton.
